Offered exclusively through Tul'ix Indigenous Arts, Arvigo® Therapy is a powerful bodywork modality rooted in the core tenets of Central American sobada with the addition of highly diverse bodywork techniques to support reproductive, digestive, structural and spiritual health.  This work is a synergy of traditional ways of knowing and the powerful curiosity of modern anatomical understanding and as such a potent pathway for bringing together the worlds and supporting human health at this complex time.

Tending the Belly

This four hour introductory class allows any adult access to the healing power of self-care belly massage while equipping them with a basic understanding of how their own anatomy and physiology can be supported through this work.  

Prerequisites:  None

Format:  Online or In Person

Level 1: Self Care Training 

This training immerses the participant into the treasures available in this lineage in the realm of Self Care.  Belly massage, pelvic steams/soaks, hip swaddling, castor oil therapy, herbal remedies, spiritual baths, anatomy, physiology, nourishment, trauma and the body, meditation and dream work are all realms that will be explored.  Offered online or in person. 

Prerequisites:  None

CE Hours:  NCBTMB hours available via some US based teachers. 

Format: Online or In Person

Belly Care Provider Training 

This training prepares providers to offer the anterior bodywork protocol safely and appropriately to clients in a clinical or healing setting.  Massage for the front body, guided meditation, steams, soaks, faja wearing, castor oil therapy, rainforest remedies, holding appropriate care space for trauma and release, approaches for specific conditions and more are part of this training.  Upon successful completion, the attendee may present themselves as an Arvigo® Belly Care Provider if they choose. 

Prerequisites:  None (but licensing requirements to provide touch therapy vary by location) 

CE Hours:  Self Care Training

Format: Online

Self Care Teacher Training 

For practitioners who have been in consistent practice for at least a year, this training provides the opportunity to dive deep into all that is needed to teach the Self-Care class in a clear, fun, safe and expansive way. 

Prerequisites:  Level 2 Practitioner Training

In Person Offerings

Level 1: Self Care Training 

This training immerses the participant into the treasures available in this lineage in the realm of Self Care.  Belly massage, pelvic steams/soaks, hip swaddling, castor oil therapy, herbal remedies, spiritual baths, anatomy, physiology, nourishment, trauma and the body, meditation and dream work are all realms that will be explored.

Format: In Person or Online

Level 2: Practitioner Training

This training is designed for the practitioner who has completed Level 1: Self Care Training and wishes to offer whole body care to their clients.   Offering treatment safely and appropriately is the focus of this training, as well as knowledge to support clients with various reproductive and digestive conditions.  Steams, soaks, castor oil, herbal remedies, trauma informed care, spiritual healing on the table and more are covered in addition to a strong understanding of abdominal and pelvic anatomy and physiology.   Upon successful completion the attendee may present themselves as an Arvigo® Therapist. 

Prerequisites:  Self Care Training & Licensure (there may be regions where this is not applicable) 

CE Hours: NCBTMB hours available via some US based teachers.   

Format: In Person

Level 3: Advanced Practitioner Training 

This training supports Practitioners to refine their skills on all levels.  Advanced techniques for more complex digestive conditions and uterine placements are presented.

Format:  In Person

Level 3A: Pregnancy    

This training supports Practitioners who have completed Level 2: Practitioner training to support client populations from preonception through to post-partum with specific bodywork and supporting modalities for each season, as well as tend client experiences around childbearing such as birth loss, termination, assisted reproductive technologies, birth trauma, adoption support for parent and child, structural repair and ancestral healing.
